I am endlessly collecting rocks. Mostly they sit in bags and boxes in my room—but recently, I took some photographs in the hope of displaying them. They are beautiful, and precious to me.
These were all collected from Lake Michigan, the lake of my childhood and my love. I have spent countless hours there, searching the shoreline for treasures—and always, I find them. It is my home away from home, this endless, boundless lake and all the beauty it contains.

Or neither. Or both.
But think for a moment on your childhood loves, and where they lie now, and where you can find them again.
(I went rock collecting four times this week, each time as delightful as the last, and I realise how dear this hobby is, has always been, to me, and how I love it so.
I wish this happiness for you.)
