“They mostly come at night.  Mostly.”  Never mind the rest of the movie, that line alone is enough to give me nightmares. Anyway!  More experimenting with dissolve mode, my old enemy.  I’m pretty pleased with the results I got here—for a gentle, gritty, faded spray paint look, dissolve mode is a treat.  At first I tried painting the shading on, but it ended up working a lot better to set a whole fill layer to dissolve, and just remove what I didn’t want.  (That is to say, it’s easier to paint light onto a sphere than shadow.) I wanted to draw something ugly and weird, and this is what I came up with.  It’s up for voting on Threadless, if you’re into that.  (And if you are, get yer votes in now, ‘cause I doubt this is gonna last the week.)  Also, I’ve been using Dissolve mode for EVERYTHING these last few days.  I hate it, but it also fascinates me.  (This is not a healthy relationship.)
